The MM Technology Team in support of Program Management Office for Investments (PMOfI) is defining and executing how Investment Management should operate across process, organization and technology domains in order to accomplish the department goals and objectives. The delivery of the target operating model for investments continues to execute through a series of concurrent program and project efforts centrally managed through the PMOfI. The systems consultant will work at the direction of IT and in support of the PMOfI program manager to support the office, it’s staff and the programs in the investment management portfolio. Specifically this position will support and lead portions of the planning, implementation and long-term support model of the Derivatives Transformation Ecosystem program (DET), working closely with the DET PMO. As a part of the DET team this person would also work closely with the derivatives operations and production support teams.

High level responsibilities:

  • Serve as liaison between operational and project teams

  • Ensure that the design of the new eco-system, inclusive of data flows and reporting environment, meets the needs of business and support teams

  • Ensure operational support model, business processes, and workflows are well defined, and adequately transitioned to participating teams

  • Support planning for staffing and skills development of operational teams

  • Subject Matter Expert

  • Provide derivatives systems expertise to DET

  • Provide derivatives system expertise to other programs and projects on the investment roadmap and in the investment organization. This may include working with the existing technical and support teams on triaging current production challenges.

  • Represent current state of the derivatives technical infrastructure to project teams

  • Active leader in the DET PMO

  • Assist in the development and implementation of:

  • Scoping

  • Project planning

  • Implementation plans

  • Conversion plans

  • Testing plans

  • Support plans

  • Provide leadership and technical guidance regarding system and data related issues

  • Lead regular problem solving sessions

  • Help develop and lead the execution of a post go-live support plan

Basic Qualifications :

  • Extensive hands on experience with derivatives systems and technology

  • Apply knowledge to handle problems independently

  • Expert ability to successfully communicate and partner with investment/business personnel

  • Experience working with Investment-focused projects

  • Mature knowledge of asset management and investment domain

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and/or lead business and systems teams/experts

  • Expert ability to understand how tasks and milestones collaborate and connect together across related projects

  • Strong organizational, communication and time management skills

  • Expert ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods

  • Proficient with standard documentation tools (Visio, Excel, Word, SharePoint)

  • Experience working within project management lifecycle, including responsibility for documentation and communication for each phase (initiation, execution, close-out).

  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future.
