Helix Human Services Teacher Assistant-Berkshire in Springfield, Massachusetts
Teacher Assistant Teacher?s Assistant provides academic support and behavior modification approaches in a highly structured alternative school. In a small class setting, the teacher assistant will support the teacher in addressing the academic and emotional/behavioral needs of the students as set forth in their Individual Education Plan (IEP). Prepare lesson plans, tutoring students one-on-one or in groups, taking attendance and monitoring student progress. Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the mission of the organization and its goals and adhere to the policies and regulations of the agency Qualifications: 1. High School Diploma/GED; Associates Degree preferred. 2. Requires professional experience with children with emotional/behavioral challenges. 3.
