Local company looking for a Full Time Category Analyst in Tewksbury. Position Summary: Our Sales Analytics team has multiple opportunities to join our pack. Our Sales Analysts report to the Director of Sales Planning and Customer Experience. Our Analysts are responsible for forecasting, productivity analysis, Plan-o-gram development, database management, and will work closely with members of the Sales Team as well as other Sales Analysts within the broader Sales Team. We are currently working remotely, and effective 1/10/22, we will return to the office with a hybrid work model of (3) days in the office and (2) from home. Our Analysts will have the opportunity to work in either our Tewksbury or Boston office locations. Position Description (Responsibilities): Lead the team in identifying, consolidating, analyzing, and understanding the business trends and providing direction based on the analysis Convert sales information into business intelligence that will drive revenue and profit for the team Analyze and validate consumption/POS data to understand current consumer and customer trends Lead the strategic analysis of both customer-provided and syndicated data to drive assortment, merchandising, pricing, and shelving decisions (including Plan-o-gram development) Conduct post-promotional analysis and share learnings across the sales and marketing organization Implement tools that ensure volume and demand connect at the customer ? IE forecasting, merchandising event planning, and consumption models Champion business needs for your accounts and train, coach, and develop the extended team to ensure objectives are met Assist in the creation of tools along with your sales counterpart to coordinate timely forecast accuracy and communication to all levels of the organization Communicate crucial market, trade, and competitive information on a timely basis Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance, or a related degree or experience Familiarity with syndicated data: IRI, Nielsen, as well as customer-provided point of sale (POS) data preferred. (Will consider professional experience in similar data management processes) Proven ability to manage and ensure compatibility of large data sets across multiple platforms Can provide examples of how you translated financial and syndicated data into forward-looking action plans, recommendations to your team. Experience building solid sales Return on Investment (ROI) analyses Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to drive results Have expert level skills using Microsoft Excel (SUMIFS & Pivot tables) and intermediate skills in database management tools (Microsoft Access) and processes Well-organized and able to manage multiple competing and shifting priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication abilities Sees challenges as opportunities Displays professional demeanor at all time Preferred but not required: CPG experience is a major plus (internships or full time) Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI Experience with Shelf Plan o Gram Software a plus (JDA/Blue Yonder in particular) Experience with CRM tools and data in the CPG industry If interested please email timothy.hovey@masshirelowellcc.com
