State of Massachusetts Contracted Student Interns in Tewksbury, Massachusetts

The Department of Mental Health is seeking to hire a summer intern who will support the Northeast Area (NEA) Transition Age Youth Program Manager to improve communication and transparency around young adult services in the NEA. An ideal candidate would have an interest in learning more and working within the behavioral health care system to improve services and outcomes for young adults. Duties include, but not limited to, compiling and summarizing resources for Chapter 688 Referrals; assist in reshaping the mission of the NEA Transition Age Steering Committee; assist in developing clear guidance for the DMH Site Staff in presenting services to young adults and families; work closely with the NEA DMH Young Adult Access Centers; and support the NEA Race, Equity and Inclusion Policy and Infrustructure Work Group. In addition, duties will include support to the Northeast Area Housing Division to assist the Director of Housing with accessing new housing opportunities for persons served by DMH. Additionally, the Summer Intern will assist with the Housing database Project to ensure the growing number of DMH RSP (Rental Assistance Subsidy Program) Vouchers are being fully tracked and utilized. All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit. The salary for this position is$18an hour.
