Title: Executive Director (Administrator)

Blaire House of Tewksbury is seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Director to lead the operations of our long-term care facility. The successful candidate will exhibit a track record of strong leadership and a passion for ensuring that residents receive top quality care.

The Blaire House of Tewksbury is a reputable 131-bed skilled nursing center. We are family owned and operated by the Essex Group Management Corp, servicing the health care needs of seniors for over 50 years. We specialize in Short and Long Term care, Rehab, Sub-acute care, and Alzheimer's Specialty care. Our facility also hosts an Assisted Living Facility, Adult Day Health Center, Senior Transportation and Home Care Services. Our Nursing team utilizes Electronic Medical Records and are trained on state-of-the-art medical equipment.

Job Summary:

The Executive Director is responsible for the total operation of the long term care facility. The position demands an in depth proficiency in all the various components comprising the delivery of goods and services to the residents of a long term care facility.

As manager of a proprietary business, the Executive Director is called upon to exhibit and to practice proven managerial skills in areas such as public relations, marketing, purchasing, budgeting, employee relations and evaluation, overall financial management and both short-term and long-term planning, research and development.

  • To ensure that all goods and services required by the resident population of the facility be available on a regular, uninterrupted basis. Such goods and services shall be established and maintained in conjunction and compliance with all current laws and statutes governing the operation of the facility.

  • To direct the operations and employees of the facility in accordance with the established by-laws and/or policies of the licensee and it’s governing body.

  • To be jointly and severally responsible with the licensee for the direction of personnel, for establishing and maintaining current written personnel policies and personnel practices and procedures that encourage good resident care.

  • To ensure that all required records, reports and other documented data are kept current, complete, accurate and available within the facility.

  • To be active in the local community as the agent of the licensee and to promulgate effective and positive relations with those persons and agencies in the community interacting directly or indirectly with the facility.

  • To constantly explore methods of improving and enhancing the total operation of the facility including but not limited to implementing certain assigned Special Projects.

  • To carry out all other duties as they are applicable to the safety and well being of the residents and the employees of the facility.

  • To direct the facility’s business operations in compliance with the Corporate Procedures Manual.


Licensed as a nursing home or hospital Administrator in the state. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
