Location/Division Specific Information
The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing and Recycling, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line, in challenging environments where customers put a premium on robustness, reliability and ease of use. They allow them to make decisions where they operate and streamline their businesses. CAD is a complex division with a global footprint, broad product portfolio and diverse customer base.
Discover Impactful Work:
Experienced Manager, Inventory Control needed to drive the inventory control processes and teams for the Tewksbury, MA facility. The position will report to the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain. The successful candidate for this role is dynamic and possesses a track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving.
A day in the Life:
Create and support SOP’s to document and drive standardization of measurement and reporting.
Coordinate a cycle count program in a perpetual inventory environment and provide regular reports on the results.
Conduct research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and implement countermeasures.
Provide supervision, leadership, and guidance to matrixed and direct reports, ensuring appropriate resources are available and effectively used.
Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely.
Implement methodologies for maintaining traceability and accountability of factory inventory.
Review and action excess and obsolete materials on a periodic basis, implementing procedures for their effective management.
Partner with IT to support systematic enhancements to drive efficiency.
Coordinate the development and preparation of reports and other communication materials to keep management informed of the status of inventory, cost, and efficiency.
Collaborate cross functionally to optimize inventory control activities, accountability and ownership.
Keys to Success:
Education
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Associates degree
Experience
Required: A minimum of 5 years of work experience with inventory control and management.
Preferred: Experience directly managing matrixed teams.
Preferred: Experience as inventory control / logistics / supply chain / operations manager.

High level of proficiency with core inventory control skills.
Advanced proficiency with software such as Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, etc.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Office, traditional warehouse, and electronics manufacturing setting with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements including but not limited to: safety glasses protection and closed toed footwear.
Prolonged periods of sitting required.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unaided.
