Description

We are in search of a Part-Time Staff Accountant based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. This role is centered around Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the telecom industry. The successful candidate will apply their skills in areas such as Microsoft Excel, Journal Entries, and Month End Close.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data is up-to-date

• Manage the general ledger, ensuring it accurately reflects the company's financial transactions

• Prepare journal entries and perform month-end close procedures

• Use Microsoft Excel extensively to record, track and analyze financial data

• Resolve financial discrepancies by analyzing and reconciling accounts

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements

• Assist in ad hoc financial projects as required.

Requirements • Holds a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experienced in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Skilled in maintaining and updating the General Ledger

• Capable of creating and recording Journal Entries accurately

• Familiar with Month End Close procedures and responsibilities

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting

• Exhibits strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
