Location/Division Specific Information
This position offers a great opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Quality Engineering professional. The role is in Tewksbury, MA and will have a key impact on the success of the Field and Safety Instruments (FSI) Business Unit. FSI is the leader in handheld spectrometers for a wide range of applications across industrial, pharma, safety/security, nuclear power, and healthcare sectors.

What will you do?
Responsible for repair process and product quality
Ensure an accurate and efficient repair process
Ensure best practices and proven methodologies are documented and followed
Performs data analysis for all Elemental & Optical Depot Repairs (All Depots)
Coordinates/facilitates Root Cause Analysis
Incorporates Corrective Actions in Depot Processes and trains technicians (Global as necessary)
How will you get here?
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Scientific field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or repair setting
Experience with demonstrated improvement in processes and a strong background in auditing.
Proven experience as a “Champion for Quality”
Working knowledge of a wide array of manufacturing processes
Training in Lean Sigma/Six Sigma processes. Green or Black belt certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Experience with Problem-Solving techniques such as 8D, DMAIC, A3, etc.
Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing principles, DOE, Process/Design FMEA.
Proficient with ISO9001:2015 and its applicability within a manufacturing/repair environment
Positive relationship building and persuasion skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.
Committed and dedicated with a positive attitude, flexible and persistent
Strong critical thinking skills with attention to detail without losing sight of the greater picture
Analytical skills and data-driven thinking – ability to develop solutions for business needs
