Raytheon Technologies RSPL Baseline Management and Configuration Lead in Tewksbury, Massachusetts

As an Associate Director your mission will be to provide world class Radar Software to be used in military systems deployed at sea and on land. This role develops a Baseline configuration/deployment strategy for the Radar Software Product Line while working with customers and program leaders to prioritize deliveries and manage necessary backfit releases. The Baseline Configuration Deployment Lead will ensure program success as well as to provide the strategic direction for the organization in terms of the baseline and configuration management across 62+ deployments for the different customer and multiple sites.

Total Financial impact/oversight of $173 M ETC per year in 2022 with expected $403.40M through 2024. Includes multi-disciplined radar engineers in the areas of software, systems engineering, and system integration & test efforts of 500+ engineers. Includes professionals from other disciplines such as Security, BD, Ops, DT, Finance, and Program Supply Chain)

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

•The responsibilities include having full knowledge and ownership of the radar product baseline configuration and release management strategy across all PL programs, including cost, schedule and technical responsibility.

•Broad and deep knowledge across many technical areas, mission areas, and DevSecOps software/systems engineering/system integration & test development methodologies.

•Specific experience includes radar product development, integration, and test, maintenance and sustainment, leadership, EVMS, Program Management, Agile, and DevSecOps software factory methods.

•Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule along with other duties as assigned

•Ensure a diverse and inclusive culture of respect and trust

Qualifications You Must Have:

•Minimum of 12 years' experience in utilizing overall Software technology and systems

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Math, Physics, or related field

•Experience in leading an organization of 100+ people

•Experience in financial planning and budgeting, as well as experience assessing and managing risk

•Experience collaborating with leadership and external customers

• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

•M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related degree

•Experience leading and working in a matrix engineering organization using abilities to effectively partner and work with senior leadership, engineering, programs and external customers, while driving the organizational performance and excellence

•Demonstrated ability to lead cultural and organizational change

•Strong passion and vision to improve organization effectiveness through strategic planning

•Experience leading multi-disciplined efforts

•External experience to draw from to create innovative solutions for running the business

•Strong execution skills

•Able to network/influence both internal and externally to SPE directorate

•Understands & champions effective talent development

•Experience in functional and/or program leadership: including Department Leader, Section Leader or major Integrated Product Team lead

•Past management experience working with all levels of management including an engineering leadership team, business area managers/executives within the corporation, as well as with senior customer personnel

•Experience in risk/opportunity management with strong understanding of RTX Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) gates and processes

•Understanding of Earned Value metrics (CPI, SPI, TCPI, BAC, EAC, LRE, etc.)
