Description Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk seeking a new role? Then this employment opportunity offered through Robert Half may be for you. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Topsfield, Massachusetts area and will be a short-term contract / contract to permanent position. The Accounts Payable Clerk duties will include matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.

Your responsibilities

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

• Carry out additional projects as required

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

• Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

• Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

• Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

• Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

• Accomplish full-cycle A/P Requirements - 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• Strong familiarity with Subcontract Agreements

• Sage MAS 90 experience highly desired

• Coding Invoices experience

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

• Expertise in Lien Waivers

• Excellent attention to detail

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
