Whitsons Culinary Group Administrative Assistant - Masconomet School Nutrition in Topsfield, Massachusetts

• Receive and handle telephone calls and emails related to the school nutrition program • Monitor payroll through ADP E-Time • Oversee data entry of daily sales in the computer system • Reconcile registers at end of breakfast and lunch service • Prepare deposits and deliver to central office (on-site) • Reconcile all invoices and prepare purchase journal weekly • Maintain records for the school nutrition program including POS reports, logs, invoices • Utilize Mosaic POS system; Run register during lunch service as needed and assist with register training • Send negative balance email notifications • Perform all functions for closing out each week and month, using Whitsons Standard closing checklist. • Assist Manager with monthly inventory of all food, paper, cleaning and USDA commodity. • Assist manager with placing food and paper orders as needed • Print and display marketing materials, daily signage, monthly promotions • Read, understand and implement all Whitsons Company policies effectively • Complete all tasks assigned for Sales force as designated by Manager • Print and distribute production order records and recipes • Assist Manager in holding meeting with entire staff • Assist Manager in managing the team members daily including communication of assigned tasks and important announcements/changes • Work as a positive, productive member of the food service team. Assume a leadership role in a supportive and positive manner • Help create a harmonious working relationship w/staff including the Manager • Help maintain positive working relationship with client and administrative personnel • Act as substitute food service worker to complete basic food prep and set up as needed • Support the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons • Other duties as requested by the Manager Education: • High School Diploma or Associates Degree Computer Skills: • Basic bookkeeping skills and proficiency in computer applications (email, outlook, excel, word) Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: • Good phone skills • Ability to work successfully with others PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
