TURNERS FALLS Handguard Press Operator Description Deerfield Packaging is looking to employ self-motivated, hardworking individuals to set up and operate its in-house bar presses attaching handles to crafted tools. Job Characteristics: Proper set up, maintenance and use of hydraulic and pneumatic press machines Keep accurate and detailed paperwork Read and interpret shop prints Operate ShopVue computer to handle inventory Able to use electric/manual lifts and pallet jacks to transport raw and finished materials Required Skills Maintain alertness and focus for long periods of time Close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Written and verbal English communication skills Able to work with a team to accomplish company goals Strict attention to safety procedures and guidelines including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE) Willingness to keep and maintain a clean and safe working environment Adherence to attendance policy Required Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Education/Experience 1+ years of related experience with packing machines/production machines Forklift license a plus Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
