Charter Next Generation Production Manager in Turners Falls, Massachusetts

TURNERS FALLS - URGENTLY HIRING - Production Manager In an effort to support our fast-paced growth, creating opportunity for our existing workforce is critical to our success. We are looking for candidates that have the drive and initiative to learn and grow along with our company. We are currently looking for interested candidates to apply for Production Manager. Requirements: 5-7 years\' experience in a leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Associates degree (required) or bachelor\'s (preferred) in related field preferred. Ten years equivalent management or supervisory experience will be considered in lieu of degree Qualifications: Strong team oriented professional with good interpersonal skills who is hands-on with a high energy approach to work. Proficiency in the use of PC and programs, particularly Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) to all levels in the organization Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Lean manufacturing experience preferred (A3, 5why, Kaizen, Lean etc.) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate day-to-day activities while enhancing workflow, efficiencies as well as following company policies and procedures. Assist in assigning team members to meet departmental goals and support production. Perform root cause analysis of production issues and obtain corrective actions utilizing the appropriate support staff. Provide daily communication with production members regarding performance, areas for improvement, company news/updates, etc. Control and effectively utilizes the production capacity, manpower and equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing, and scheduling to minimize losses. Review and maintain production orders or schedules to determine most efficient run patterns, hit customer due dates, maximize equipment utilization, and ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products. Oversee the functions of all production activities on the respective shift to ensure compliance to all performance and safety standards. Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals. Continuously develop and improve the production operations through analysis of KPIs and other performance data Provide information to supervisors, process engineers and lead ops to adjust for changes in manufacturing conditions, including demand. Work with a sense of urgency that enables production schedules to be met while minimizing unnecessary costs related to downtime and labor/material variances. Engage in providing a safe working environment for employees by promoting and participating in company sponsored safety programs. Ensure that all setups are designed and ready for production and that all manufacturing processes are functioning and available for production according to the schedule. Management Responsibilities: Coaches team members to be motivated and engaged regarding achievement of efficiency and quality targets. Acts as a Change Agent by modeling desired behaviors, promoting two-way communication, sharing best practices, serving as first point of conflict resolution on process questions, and cultivating a culture of feedback between team members and management. Provides direction, development, and leadership to team members. Ensure training is provided to employees for effective performance Is a Lean/CI/OPEX Champion, driving daily improvements Redirects and holds team accountable to key metrics
