AON Risk Consultant IV- Loss Prevention in Virtual, Massachusetts

Aon is looking for a Risk Consultant IV- Loss Prevention (virtual location)

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Serve as a member of the Loss Prevention team of the Professional Services Practice at Aon, providing advice and risk management support to over 230 law firm clients across the country.

  • Support expansion of existing client relationships with law firm clients and origination of new business by developing strategic relationships with law firm leadership and participating in presentations to prospective law firm clients.

  • Research professional responsibility, professional liability, and loss prevention issues affecting law firms.

  • Write articles, bulletins, white papers, and other thought leadership pieces on current loss prevention, legal ethics, and professional liability topics of interest to the legal profession.

  • Analyze and track claims data for professional liability, employment practices liability, and cyber claims against law firms.

  • Manage response to client inquiries regarding their access to the online library of all Loss Prevention team materials and prepare biannual updates to the Library Index.

  • Prepare and deliver continuing legal education presentations, both virtually and in person, for large law firm clients and outside organizations.

  • Respond to client inquiries on ethics and loss prevention issues.

  • Assist in planning and presenting the Aon Law Firm Symposium and Loss Prevention Spring Conferences.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: J.D. and admission to at least one State bar required.

    Experience: 12+ years law firm experience required. Familiarity with law firm risk management, professional liability defense, and professional indemnity insurance is desirable.

    Special Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.Strong research and organizational skills.

    Willingness to develop in-depth knowledge of legal ethics rules and professional liability and insurance law.

    Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally.

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $175,000 to $250,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
