The role!
Position: In-Home Support (IHS) Mentor
Location: Wakefield, MA
Pay rate: $17 per hour
Hours: 10 – 25 hours per week Shifts: Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours available

Summary & Responsibilities
IHS Mentors are responsible for teaching life and social skills to individuals in a variety of environments using their home and community as the classroom.
Empower individuals in managing and exercising control over their Individual Support Plan (ISP)
Directly work with individuals on their ISP goals
Assist individuals with activities of daily living when necessary
Seek input from individuals and families; and respond accordingly
Help individuals to advocate for their needs and desires when necessary.
Recognize and support the individual’s rights to make decisions, choices, and the right to take risks
Supervisie overall medical health, nutrition, social and general welfare
Assist in the completion of assessments and other paperwork as assigned
Qualifications
High School diploma required (BA degree in Human Services or related field preferred)
At least 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is required
3 years of experience preferred
A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must
Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
Must pass company background and reference checks
