National Grid Analyst, CEI Business Support in Waltham, Massachusetts
This position would be responsible to perform activities that support National Grid’s interconnection of customer distributed generation facilities. These activities would support areas such as, but not limited to, contract administration, renewable energy and net metering programs, various stakeholder reporting, program and/or online portal management, cost reconciliation, process improvement and on-going operational responsibilities for such facilities in accordance with applicable interconnection requirements involving FERC, ISO-NE, state regulatory and corporate tariffs and operating procedures.
At the higher levels this role will also design and implement procedures and policies within their area of work to improve the working of National Grid.
National Grid is hiring an Analyst, CEI Business Support for our Customer organization in Waltham, MA.
Act as a primary point of contact, for the accumulation and reporting of data, providing advice / guidance and support to relevant internal customers to ensure everyone is informed and aware of the underlying data so that business decisions can be made on a timely basis.
Execute instructions and requests, plan and organize resources and make appropriate arrangements to ensure that work within Customer Energy Integration is carried out efficiently and in line with relevant policies and processes.
Enhance and improve process and performance of interconnection process.
Provide support for the implementation and maintenance of online application portal, data migration and resolve technical issue related to processing application through portal.
Demonstrate proficiency with the tools and systems used to gather the information necessary to accumulate and organize the data we use into appropriate outputs.
Produce effective management information and reporting in order to provide insight on customers for more senior team members.
Develop a working understanding of the applicable regulations we operate under (example tariffs) in order to provide assistance to our internal customers in delivering the services to the ultimate customers.
Collate information and perform regular analyses at e.g. monitoring compliance statistics, in order to ensure more senior team members of the Customer Energy Integration have accurate and up to date information as required.
Help improve after care processes related distributed generation projects such as outage notifications, account maintenance, program maintenance and other administrative changes.
Assist with updating department website
Assist with customer outreach events
Assist with customer inquiries
Bachelor's degree in a related area and 3 years of work experience is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
Knowledge of the electric and gas industry, construction, and/or distributed generation is preferred.
Proficiency in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
Knowledge of regulatory concepts and rate making is highly desirable
Experience with Process Improvement and lean problem-solving methods is preferred.
