Brandeis University a distinguished private research university recognized for its academic excellence and leading-edge research has an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Assistant Director of Development, Centers, and Institutes. The Assistant Director of Development, Centers, and Institutes, will be the Institutional Advancements (IA) main liaison to the 13 university centers and institutes (C&I) that report directly to the University Provost. This person will be responsible for coordinating C&I fundraising needs and activities with IAs broader, institutional strategies for donor cultivation and leadership development. As the primary point of contact for C&I development activities, the position will include the development of strategic fundraising plans, tactics, reporting, and regular analysis. Strategies will be set in partnership with development leadership and in-line with the Provosts objectives and priorities ensuring that information is readily shared across the University and that fundraisers are informed of priorities, progress, and shared prospect activity. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Fundraising Plan Execution and Analysis Supports the development and execution of distributing fundraising strategic plans for each C&I Regularly communicate fundraising outcomes to each C&I, highlighting areas of success and opportunity. Ensures fundraising outcomes are in alignment with Provostial and University priorities. Prospect Management and Coordination Ensures all prospect interactions done at the C&Is are coordinated with IA and tracked in the advancement CRM. Provides regular reports on IA fundraising activity (marketing, visits, events) to each C&I to ensure transparency of activity around solicitations, prospect work, and proposal development Serve as the primary point of contact and clearing house for prospect interactions where the prospect has multiple connection points across the University. Communications/Marketing/Donor Relations support In partnership, central communications and IA communications Support C&I marketing activity (newsletters, broad-based solicitations, etc.). Using standards developed by IA donor relations, support distributed donor relations activity for each C&I, ensuring donors are receiving regular updates about impact, goals, and priorities. Share C&I communications with IA colleagues to ensure a coordinated approach across the University. Requirements, skills needed, and Additional Information: B.A./B.S. required. Advanced degrees and/or related certifications highly desired. 3-5 years related work experience, minimum 2 years of direct experience in development and/or fundraising. Experience in a higher education setting preferred. Demonstrated project management skills with experience managing a team and initiating, planning, executing, controlling and completing multiple complex projects within tight deadlines. High degree of fluency in computer technologies, including proficiency with building Internet and web queries, manipulating and retrieving data from complex database sources, managing news alerts and using electronic subscription services. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation software and relational database systems with an ability to also become comfortable quickly with the University\'s alumni and donor databases. Expertise in data and financial analysis and use of related software.
