Global Partners LP Director of Marketing in Waltham, Massachusetts
Global Partners has an opening for a Director of Marketing to lead our retail marketing team.
In this position, the ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in marketing and advertising, with specific experience in both traditional and digital marketing. The candidate should have strong people management skills, and an ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. This position will be responsible for all consumer messaging for the company, focused on the convenience store business. This will include advertising, social and digital marketing, event marketing, and promotions.
The role includes leading a team of 5 people and primary duties and responsibilities will include:
Lead our retail marketing group, inspiring the team to be a high performing organization
Build and execute our retail marketing strategy across our full range of brands
Lead all advertising and initiatives for our multiple retail brands
Lead all digital marketing efforts including web, social media, app development, etc.
Lead all promotion efforts, including in-store, loyalty programs and partner programs
Work with events that we sponsor to ensure in-store and on-premise activation, and fully leverage all elements of the sponsorship
Work closely with Merchandising, Category Management, Retail Operations, and Food Service teams to ensure all elements of the brand strategy and marketing plan are executed with our key business partners
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
10+ years of experience in marketing with experience leading both digital and traditional marketing strategies and execution
Retail marketing experience
Proven experience leading a high-performing marketing team
Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse employees.
Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking
Strong ability to be flexible and adapt approach as needed
Demonstrated change agent with ability to lead in times of change and ambiguity
Solid understanding of effective marketing strategies, materials, and channels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills.
Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution. Commitment to continuous learning.
Bachelor\u2019s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, sales, or related field
