Fresenius Medical Care North America Events Manager & Congress Coordinator, Care Enablement in Waltham, Massachusetts
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Coordinates all trade show logistics for national, regional, and local shows, including the coordination of divisional and corporate rooming blocks as needed. Coordinates special event/meeting planning logistics as requested. Coordinates promotional selection and purchase. Manages inventory of marketing literature and promotional materials, specifically related to the trade show inventory and fulfillment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Acts as a subject matter expert.
May provide assistance to junior level staff with more complex tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions.
May escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
Mentor other staff as applicable.
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to manage and execute, independently or with organization's selected vendors, all trade show logistics including exhibit space selection, room block selection and assignment, as well as promotional/advertisement opportunities with associations for symposia/meeting promotion, graphics, space, layout, shipping, drayage, displays, promotional materials, literature, and product samples.
Ensures that all displays, shows, meeting, and presentations meet established company standards, regulatory requirements, and qualify criterion as to both content and appearance.
Coordinates and drives the trade show process, across businesses, interdepartmental and intercompany lines.
Manages inventories of product samples literature and promotional materials. Provides literature and promotional support for local and regional sales staff. Provides communications and other departmental support as required.
When designated, acts as point person for Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) - Renal Therapies Group (RTG) conventions, corporate sponsored meetings, and events. Interacts with industry organizations, exhibit vendors, media, hotel, and conference management, RTG management, sales and field personnel, internal corporate departments, and other FMC divisions.
Normally receives general work instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Builds productive working relationships.
Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.

Significant travel required. During peak trade show/exhibit months, 60%; with modest travel 10-15% during non-peak months. Weekend travel is included.
- Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
Minimum 5 - 8 years of related trade show coordination/event planning experience; with an advanced degree no prior experience may be considered.
Excellent organizational skills, highly attentive to detail.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills
