Description We are offering a short-term contract opportunity for a Facilities Manager in Toms River, New Jersey. This role is based on-site and involves managing a team responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a portfolio of small to medium-sized buildings. The industry this job falls under is Facilities Management and the focus is on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to clients regarding all repairs and investment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring their training and development, conducting performance evaluations and coaching, as well as overseeing the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

• Schedule and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and set and track staff and department deadlines.

• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.

• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.

• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.

• Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations, and suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.

• Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.

• Manage vendor relationships and invoicing procedures, review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects, and create quotes for proposed work for client review.

• Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance repairs and safety best practices.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes. Requirements • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field

• Strong knowledge of procedures and operations in facilities management

• Experience in supervising and staffing a team

• Proficiency in managing vendors and procurement processes

• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team

• Strong client relations skills and ability to work in a client-facing role

• Knowledge of best practices in facilities management and quality assurance

• Experience in invoice management and financial processes

• Proficiency in planning processes and capital management

• Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide workstation support

• Experience in performing ad hoc financial tasks

• Ability to review and improve quality of operations

• Familiarity with facilities management software and tools

• Experience in managing facility upgrades and maintenance

• Proficiency in variance analysis and agreement negotiations

• Strong skills in hiring processes and staffing

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in facilities management.
