Reporting to the Vice President OCA MBCs, this hands-on leader manages the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Operations Finance (Ops Fin) groups for the OSSA MBC. He/she will collaborate with members of the OSSA executive team and functional leadership teams with responsibility for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly consolidated management reporting and analysis, coordinating closely with the accounting team. This role plans and manages processes to ensure fiscal accountability for new product development, plant manufacturing and strategic investments to achieve financial targets. This Director is responsible for developing insightful and predictive financial and operational reporting tools, analytics and systems that will help drive company decision and successful execution.
Collaborate with OSSA leadership to identify business opportunities and mitigate risks, measure and monitor business impact, and maximize net operating income.
Align resources, funding and timelines with SSD goals and objectives.
Streamline and execute robust, efficient and accurate budgeting and forecasting processes that reflect the highly matrixed and complex multinational structures of Olympus.
Provide stakeholder analysis and reports.
Enhance cross-functional portfolio financial planning tools and analytics. Predict impact of timeline and investment changes to the P&L and Cash Flow. Integrate findings into rolling forecast.
Strengthen and administer effective infrastructure to diagnose issues and manage progress against objectives. Provide concise and actionable feedback to all levels of management regarding performance on initiatives.
Participates cross-functionally in issue resolution.
Improve and oversee cost accounting process, financial system structure and tools to support it. Analyse cost of sales results; identify and communicate main drivers of fluctuations between comparative periods.
Research issues and recommend corrective actions.
Spearhead worldwide detailed headcount planning and manage fiscal control of new hires and related compensation.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance or Accounting; MBA or CPA is strongly preferred.
Minimum 10 years of financial management experience, including direct report supervision.
Must be available to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 10% of time.
Prior experience in a multi-plant, multi-company manufacturing environment preferred.
Demonstrate forward-thinking, innovative and strategic leader with sense of urgency to address issues and opportunities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with overlapping deadlines, deliverables and staff utilization in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving work environment.
Deep knowledge and experience building Excel models and Business Intelligence tools.
Hands-on, detail oriented, highly skilled communicator and dedicated mentor
Honest, transparent, and accountable.
French language proficiency a plus.
