The Global Supply Planner is responsible for balancing optimal finish good stock levels against service and cost. This includes management, development, and ownership the supply plans for a selected group of products and sites. Key to this role is the successful articulation of risks and opportunities, recommending solutions and ensuring decisions are made at the monthly Supply Review Meeting, which is an integral part of our IBP process.

This position reports to the IBP Director and is part of the IBP team located in Boston and will be an on-site position. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Apply analytics and supply chain expertise to manage system parameters (SS, LT, DoS…) and meet target inventory and service level goals while minimizing costs and obsolescence at the Finished Good and Product Family level

• Lead the monthly Supply review Meeting (SRM) as part of the Sales and Operations Planning Process/IBP for the assigned portfolio

• Review the monthly performance of key manufacturing processes for capacity and demand, identifies capacity constraints, and provides analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

• Work closely with the supply execution team to prevent and resolve shortage situation by proactively managing and monitoring inventory levels for assigned materials and material types.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• A degree, in a business-related subject.

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Supply Chain, or Manufacturing role.

• Ability to analyze data in Excel using complex formulae.

• Experience in communicating important messages to stakeholders in large meetings, including creating presentations.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• This role is split over 2 sites, up to 4 visits a year, for up to 5 days, 4 nights maybe required

• An occasional trip to other Abcam or Danaher sites might be required

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• S&OP or IBP

• Production, materials, demand or supply planning
