Brandeis University Lecturer in Journalism in Waltham, Massachusetts

The Journalism Program at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for JOUR 139b: Reporting on Diverse Communities in Journalism, a four-credit course to be offered during the Spring 2023 semester. The course explores who has been left out of the news discourse historically, and how journalists can better reach underrepresented audiences. The course will meet on campus, in person, on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 5:40-7 p.m. Candidates with a minimum of a Bachelor?s degree who have a proven track record of producing high-quality journalism and in providing innovative leadership for reaching and engaging underserved audiences, will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter and CV, and the name and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is Sept. 22, 2022. This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local.
