Job Description
DUTIES:
Work with Site Leadership to identify and address areas of process improvement.
Drive cataloging of opportunities, quantification of opportunities, management of resources to capture data, coordination of ideation and project management to ensure execution of achievements. Consolidate and analyze global inventory data for trends and reduction opportunities.
Establish and standardize global demand data for monthly operations reviews.
Conduct analysis across all CAD Business Units to find and lead SKU rationalization initiatives.
Collaborate across functions to ensure consistent implementation of new, improved processes.
Establish measurable criteria to ensure desired results are acquired and provide management with updates via tracking reports reflective of Key Performance Indicators in line with set priorities and timing targets.
Identify training needs for the facilities and assist in the deployment of agreed to training techniques, content, and timing.
Promote the transformation of a reactive organizational culture to one that is more proactive, utilizing data driven decision-making, and giving priority to preventative actions.
Train and educate the organization and to implement continuous improvement methodologies including PPI, 6 Sigma, 5S, Lean, OEE and others.
Review business process to improve efficiency and benchmark with industry Best Practices.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, PPI Specialist, or any related occupation in which the required experience can be gained.
Must have experience or knowledge of:
RCCMs, PPI, Six Sigma, 5S, Lean, OEE, and other Continuous Improvement techniques and their application;
Sig Sigma Green Belt training;
DMAIC principles: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control;
Leading programs/projects and managing teams in a manufacturing environment;
Applied statistical models/engines;
Electronics, X-ray tube manufacturing or bench top manufacturing;
ERP systems (Infor XA, Intuitive, ABAS, or SAP) and MRP processes;
Product sourcing, supply chain improvement, and delivery execution;
Material flow through manufacturing sites and production/capacity planning.
Travel: Roving/Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S. for up to 70% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S. and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S. Can work remotely or telecommute.
