Fresenius Medical Care North America Procurement Excellence Manager, COE Procurement in Waltham, Massachusetts

Role Function:

The COE Procurement is a global team established to design and embed; capabilities, standards, performance, innovation and strategy across the newly established One Procurement organization within Fresenius Medical Care.

Tasks:

  • Support the establishment of strategic procurement processes and standards, such as Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management

  • Build capabilities and competence within the Procurement Function through the establishment and administration of development programs

  • Embed new ways of working under a new operating model, understanding and defining processes and collaboration models that generate efficiencies and raise performance levels

  • Be an enabling partner to the Category Management teams, though, for example the provision of internal and external intelligence and insights within and across categories

  • Sharing and institutionalizing best practices across Procurement

  • Leading and participating in special projects that support the overall procurement transformation

  • Undertake benchmarking and information sharing internally and externally

  • Development and deployment of tools and resources to raise maturity of Procurement and promote excellence

  • Collaborate closely with Global Process Management and Global Process Owner(s), ensuring continuous process improvement and implementation projects

  • Involved in the design of targets, KPIs and measurements to ensure changes are sustained and measure

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Advanced Degree and/or Procurement and supply-chain specialization desirable

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in procurement and/or management consulting

  • A connector with the ability to build relationships and influence others, who has a systems-thinking mindset

  • Proven ability to deliver results in decentralized environments, with ability to work across geographic boundaries and cultures

  • Ability to lead and manage projects and deploy agile approaches

  • Communication and change management skills

  • English Advanced, other languages an advantage

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (20%)
