Location/Division Specific Information:
The Field and Safety Instrument (FSI) business manufactures and markets a leading portfolio of instruments designed to make the world safer, serving global customers across Industrial & Applied, Pharma & Biotech, Government and Healthcare end markets. Leveraging a wide variety of technology platforms for molecular, elemental and radiological analysis, the business’s diverse portfolio of field-based products enables productivity for customers with real-time, easy-to-understand answers. The FSI Product Management and Marketing teams are charged with ensuring the success of the overall product portfolio.
How will you make an impact?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management, the Product Management Specialist works directly with product management and marketing teams to support total product lifecycle plans, product roadmap efforts, product launch activities, sales enablement, and general marketing support to drive growth and profitability.
This position is based remotely in the US with a preference of the Greater Boston area .
What will you do?
The Product Management Specialist is responsible for supporting departmental goals including revenue, margin, NPIs, customer satisfaction, and market share objectives.
Supports product management in development and implementation of product life cycle plan including price and end-of-life plans to ensure seamless customer experience.
Works closely with the marketing and product management teams to create marketing plans, develop product training materials, provide sales training and create marketing content.
Supports market research to identify industry trends and customer requirements.
Supports New Product Introduction process by participating in various pre and post launch activities.
Collects market intelligence, competitive landscape, and customer and product requirements to inform product management’s product roadmap plans.
Serves as product management administrator for product related data (pricing, specifications, packaging, and classification).
Develops and maintains current knowledge of core markets, key customers and competitors.
Supports inventory and demand process by assisting in forecasting, pipeline management and revenue tracking.
Acts as a product ambassador, liaises with internal stakeholders, regional teams, and key accounts through active participation in the sales process, and customer support. Supports marketing activities and planning.
Supports various projects and growth initiatives for the product line, as assigned.
How will you get here?
Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, or scientific field.
2+ years of experience required in product management or marketing support roles; preferably in the Life Science or related industry.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to articulate key points via email, memos, chat/messenger, phone, virtual meetings and face-to-face meetings.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel and general data analysis.
Ability to travel up to 15%.
