Commonwealth Financial Network Salesforce Quality Assurance Engineer in Waltham, Massachusetts

We’re looking for a salesforce quality assurance engineer to join our ranks! Are you an experienced QA engineer with strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform? As part of the QA team at Commonwealth, this role will work with a Salesforce migration team focused on integrating multiple legacy applications. You will provide testing support on Salesforce applications, solutions, and implementations. You will also be a key driver in defining the QA strategy and drive test automation for this initiative. Our Salesforce application integrates with multiple enterprise data sources, and this role will work closely with data governance, ensuring data quality and integrity.
In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to write and execute test cases and report on the results. You will apply your self-starter mentality, can-do attitude, creative problem-solving skills, and technical expertise to ensure top-notch quality across multiple projects. Our workplace environment is fast paced, so the ability to stay on top of multiple projects is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting various testing efforts required to successfully execute enterprise Salesforce implementation projects
Creating test plans and test cases for functional, integration, regression, and automation aspects of Salesforce and MuleSoft deployments
Developing automation strategy and test plans, preferably using BDD framework
Ensuring data quality and integrity across multiple applications
Documenting and reporting on test case execution
Reporting, analyzing, and tracking defects within JIRA
Working closely with business analysts, product owners, data analysts, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders
Participating in and planning team standups and other meetings as necessary
Designing test scopes, approaches, and strategies; locating or creating test data
Ensuring that appropriate tests are executed during development and upon deployment
Collaborating with the team to identify areas of high risk and root causes of problems
Providing appropriate status and risk assessment for management
Improving the QA team by finding and implementing process improvements, as well as by mentoring junior members of the team
Core Strengths
Proficient with SQL, writing and executing complex queries, and data mining
Experience in testing API orchestration layers
Experience working in an Agile project team setting
Experience in integrating test automation to CI-CD pipelines
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Well organized and self-motivated
Additional Skills and Knowledge
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
2+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce platforms
Solid experience in UI Automation; BDD framework experience is preferable
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Experience with Azure cloud
Experience in financial services a plus
