Job Summary
Senior Communication Manager
This role is pivotal in developing and executing a comprehensive site communications and engagement strategy. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing communication timelines, creating engaging content, and liaising with various stakeholders to promote site events and updates. The Strategic Communications Manager will also oversee the site-onboarding process and contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and support the execution of a site communications/engagement calendar, ensuring timely delivery of communication initiatives.
Create and manage deliverables such as weekly newsletters, online site calendars, plasma screen promotions, Client page updates, and "get to know" materials for site leaders and groups.
Produce various written and visual communications, including print and electronic formats, and maintain updated site communications guidelines and procedures.
Act as a liaison between site leaders, administrators, ENGs, Health Services, hard services, landlords, and project teams to promote site events, changes, and shutdowns to AZ staff.
Coordinate communication efforts with these stakeholders to ensure seamless information dissemination and engagement.
Administer the site-onboarding process for new employees, including facilitating orientation sessions to ensure a smooth integration into the site environment.
Assist in maintaining and enhancing the concierge program to support a positive workplace experience.
Contribute to initiatives aimed at making the site a great place to work.
Represent the Waltham site in the collaborative AZ North American event engagement group, participating in and supporting broader event initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role.
Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies and managing multiple deliverables.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and engage diverse audiences.
Experience in stakeholder management and collaboration across various departments and external partners.
Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including newsletters, digital calendars, and content management systems.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to foster a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a corporate or large organizational environment.
Familiarity with site onboarding processes and orientation programs.
Previous involvement in event coordination and management.
