BerryDunn Senior Consultant, Organization Development in Waltham, Massachusetts

Do you want to help make a difference in our communities and see your work translate into the greater good? You will pair your strong business acumen along with confidence to interact with senior executives, lead groups and serve as a trusted advisor. This position reports to leaders in the Local Government Practice Group. This position can sit remotely or in one of our offices including: Portland ME, Boston MA, Hartford CT, New Haven CT, Manchester, NH and Charleston, WV.

Travel Expectation: Organization development work is often conducted on-site and depending on project location travel could reach up to 30%.

You Will:

Provide organizational transformation services to clients as they transform their organization to align with their business strategy. As a trusted advisor, you will provide leadership and guidance for clients and internal project teams in the following areas:

  • Facilitate discussions with community stakeholders, elected officials and government leadership that build consensus toward a shared vision and results in strategic plan that guides the community toward an agreed upon future.

  • Create, perform, and complete organizational assessments using effectiveness analytics, methodologies and diagnostic tools that result in actionable recommendations that address needed changes in organizational culture, structure, operations, and workforce.

  • Integrate DEI into all engagements working collaboratively with DEI subject matter experts with the goal of advancing our client’s capabilities in advancing DEI strategies in the community.

  • Facilitate change management strategies that engage stakeholders and result in the successful adoption of new systems, technologies, business processes and organizational structures.

  • Design and deliver leadership development strategies and materials for supervisors, managers, and executives that assist them in growing individually and improvement team dynamics and performance.

  • Apply business process improvement methodologies, including performance measurement and business processing mapping to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Assist in developing new service offerings and maturing our approaches to OD-related work.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Communication, Organization Development, Psychology, Business, Public Administration)

  • Minimum of 5 years’ demonstrated experience providing organizational development services, preferably in local government

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilitating strategic planning and preparing organizations for changes that come from implementing strategic initiatives

  • Ability to partner closely with other consulting team members to support assessments, contribute toward recommendations, and manage projects to improve the performance of leaders, teams and organizations

  • Experience in assessing organizational change readiness and facilitating mindset shifts and/or behavior changes across a diverse set of stakeholders and actively foster an inclusive work environment

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets, extract the insights that matter most, and tell compelling stories to drive adoption of new feedback and action planning approach

  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to share data and information in a visually appealing, compelling and modern manner
