Reports to: VP, Finance
ElevateBio is seeking an experienced & pro-active senior controller to join their team who will oversee and manage day to day accounting function across all the ElevateBio portfolio companies. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of US GAAP. This highly visible role is responsible for managing the accounting, audit, supporting financial planning and analysis, and other financial reporting and compliance processes. This person will be a key member of the Finance & Accounting team and will work very closely with the Vice President Finance to interface regularly with company senior leadership to help the continued growth of the Company.
Lead and develop ElevateBio?s accounting team, including functions like general accounting operations, technical accounting matter, intercompany accounting, and procure-to-pay process
Oversee and manage a timely and high-quality monthly financial close and reporting process
Establish and maintain formal accounting policies, procedures to ensure GAAP compliance
Manage SAP for multiple entities, to include consolidation accounting, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records
Develop and maintain an internal control environment, which is scalable to meet Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Review cash forecasts, investment portfolio performance and other treasury matters; ensure compliance
Lead the relationship and communications with the external auditors and other related service providers throughout the annual audit and year
Analysis, investigation and reporting of month and year to date P&L variances to budget & forecast
Monthly working capital and free cash flow reporting
Manage the tax function and other regulatory compliance
Assist the Vice President, Finance in the monthly internal reporting and preparations for the board meetings and materials
Minimum of 10-12 year professional experience, including industry accounting leadership experience. (Big-4 Accounting experience preferred)
A four-year degree in Accounting of Finance is required. Current CPA certification and MBA preferred
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with an acute ability to execute on time
Effectively and proactively communicates essential information with all levels of the organization
