How you will make an impact:

As the Sr. Director, HR for Laboratory Equipment (LE), a part of Laboratory Products Group, you will provide forward-thinking strategic partnership to the LE leadership team, translating business priorities into an impactful people strategy to drives business growth. To achieve this, you will collaborate with global business leaders to turn strategy into action, building organizational capabilities, providing innovative HR solutions and advancing our goals of hiring, developing, and retaining outstanding talent.

What you will contribute:

Talent Mindset

Collaborate to develop effective HR strategy and talent management plans that align with business goals and advance culture change to attract, retain, develop, and engage diverse, hardworking talent.

Business Acumen and Data Insight

Draw upon HR analytics to encourage the continuous improvement of talent and business capabilities, and influence positive culture change. Build a robust understanding of industry, market, and functional trends, crafting business-specific talent strategies driven by data insights.

Consultation

Be a trusted mentor to people leaders in navigating sophisticated leadership and HR matters, including talent development, engagement, and performance. Stay abreast of changes in HR law and emerging issues which have the potential to impact the business, sharing knowledge with business and HR teams.

Change Leadership

Motivate change by leading organizational design, development, and culture initiatives built upon our 4i values (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement).

Organizational Adaptability and Resolve

Establish a solid organizational network that promotes a "One HR Team" approach in which activities are core, common, and consistent.

Project/Process Management

Coordinate HR resources and priorities, delegating tasks to field HR and/or HR Specialists, and successfully implement initiatives. Assess work requests from across the organization and effectively balance priorities in collaboration with the business and in alignment with the HR model.

How you will get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.

  • PHR/SPHR and other professional certification is desirable.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of comprehensive HR experience in a global environment; prior experience as a business partner, supporting and coaching executive leadership.

  • Demonstrated success in implementing business and change programs and processes that yield positive results.

  • Experience building and leading teams in a fast-paced, heavily matrixed, and diverse environment.

  • Exposure to Process Improvement approaches (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, Practical Process Improvement, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary practices in the administration of HR policies, including (but not limited to): total rewards and performance review processes, performance management, proactive employee relations, issue investigation and resolution, and talent acquisition.

  • Thorough understanding of US labor and employment law.

  • Proven critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Outstanding project management, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Effective consultation skills with the ability to influence leaders.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and act with a high level of tact and emotional intelligence.

  • Skilled in developing professional relationships with leadership, subordinates, and peers.

  • Ability to translate strategy into action in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

  • Travel approximately 15-25% (domestic and international).
