As our new Sr Product Applications Specialist, you’ll be taking on a dynamic customer facing role that will require flexibility, initiative, and drive. Your time will be divided between pre-sales, development projects, installation follow-up to support the ramp to full operation.

A Day in the life

We imagine that you will have a few years of applications experience and will be comfortable with both relationship management and highly technical software discussions. Experience tailoring solutions to technical users is a must. In addition to supporting our client’s successful implementation of automated workflows and supporting the technical requirements of system sales, other aspects of the role include:

  • Becoming an expert in our Momentum scheduling software.

  • Guiding system requirements discussions and providing expert opinions on system design

  • Establishing a coordinated process for quoting technical proposals

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients

  • Managing existing customer base to improve their success

  • Identifying and improving the introduction of new services, products, and promotions

  • Hosting software demonstrations and lab automation seminars.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelors degree in life science, engineering, bioengineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 3-5 years lab automation experience in the field or in labs.

  • Experience using scheduling or liquid handing software such as Momentum, GBG, Cellario, Venus, VWorks etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Persistent, high-reaching, creative, and productive approach to client success

  • Ability to build strong technical credibility and relationships with customers

  • A self-starter with the ability and desire to take ownership of their success

  • Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of other languages (particularly French) is advantageous.

  • Travel to the US and Canada (up to 20% of the time) required. Main focus on Boston area with occasional travel to other sales territories. Attendance at SLAS conference every other year in San Diego.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Working With Us
