Wolters Kluwer Vice President, Product Management (SaaS) in Waltham, Massachusetts

The VP, Product Management, Banking Compliance Solutions (BCS), is a key leadership role within the BCS Segment of Wolters Kluwer Compliance Solutions, responsible for driving Expert Solution product strategy and innovation execution, product development, and customer penetration of technology products that drive revenue annually with high growth targets across thousands of customers with regional, national, and global footprints.

The position involves both strategic and operational thinking to ensure that the right Expert Solutions are being prioritized, developed, and delivered to meet evolving customer needs. This role will work closely with BCS Market Strategy leaders and other connected partners to deliver a successful P&L for the growing portfolio of BCS SaaS products.

Wolters Kluwer Compliance Solutions serves over 7,000 financial institutions, including 94% of top 100 US Banks. Banking Compliance Solutions (BCS) includes a portfolio of Expert Solutions that focus on banks and specialty lenders across the following markets:

• Document Generation

• Digital Lending

• Compliance Analytics

The person in this role will need to be in the office 2-3 days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Directly manage and develop Product Management team that includes five directors and a total team of over 70 individuals.

· In collaboration with DXG leadership, indirectly manage, define, and prioritizes work for a development team of over 200 individuals, including both FTEs and contractors.

· Act as the public face for BCS products, engaging with sales teams in negotiations with Fortune 500 companies, including national and global banks.

· Create a highly productive working relationship with cross functional teams including market strategy, innovation, product engineering, project management, operations, and finance to ensure alignment and execution of product managements activities to support segment financial success.

· Lead the effort to unify platforms across numerous diverse technology stacks and support the migration of 2,000+ customers from legacy / on-prem solutions to SaaS.

· Manage the entire lifecycle of a BCS products – focused on building and maintaining product roadmaps that consider strategic goals, market needs, and product lifecycle stage.

· Drive compliance with disciplined development processes (lean and agile) across all involved teams to ensure that product development progresses in accordance with objective, customer-oriented, data-based methodologies.

· Oversee definition and prioritization of the product backlog so that solutions are effectively identified and implemented.

· Manage new product launches and product updates, working closely with Market Strategy team and other key stakeholders (marketing, sales, development, and support).

· Ensure stability of key product platforms in market through establishment of and adherence to high-performance standard operating procedures for cybersecurity, high availability, data protection, regulatory compliance, and accessibility

· Coordinate key research and development teams within BCS to ensure steady process of transfer of advanced technology research (artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other) into core product development roadmaps to support transformation to higher value “decision support” solutions.

· Supports VP & Segment Leader, Banking Compliance Solutions, as part of high-level business strategy development, team culture creation, market problem-solving, and other group-wide activities as needed.

Other Duties :

· Establish a unified vision and collaborative work environment among diverse groups. Lead, mentor and coach existing team members to build a high-performing teams at all levels in the BCS Product Management function.

· Establish performance goals and support staff in their professional development; provide ongoing feedback.

· Ensure you have the right talent in place to deliver on your plan; recruiting new talent as needed.

· Ensure the team is aligned through KPI reporting and regular qualitative check-ins.

· Ensure the team is executing effectively through regular goal reviews and monitoring of KPIs.

Job Qualifications :

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

*Experience:   *

· 15 or more years of experience leading product management of complex, high-revenue, high-scale B2B technology products in relevant information industry markets (banking, lending or related sector).

· 8 or more years of experience in management, minimum 4 years in Director-level or higher role.

· Demonstrated track record of success in designing, delivering, and managing successful B2B software products in a complex information services environment to successful achievement of challenging revenue goals. 

· Direct responsibility for both product requirements, design and delivery.

· Strong expertise in every stage of the product development process from concept to post-launch, with deep background in formal development processes such as Lean.

· Financial analysis and forecasting

· Experience in Agile Product Development, Pragmatic Marketing, or Design Thinking.

Other Skills and Abilities:

· Experience in the financial services technology industry preferred.

· Collaborative team player with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and extreme attention to detail, and management style that fosters innovative thinking.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.  Experience managing and coordinating efforts across complex teams in a Fortune 500 style corporate environment.

· Excellent executive-level people leadership skills, including talent development, project management, resource allocation, and crisis resolution.  

· Demonstrated ability to perform well in customer-facing presentations and pitches.

· Ability and willingness to travel to meet business goals and objectives.

· Strong intellect and analytical skills, with ability to collect, absorb, and analyze information quickly and independently.

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $203,900 - $262,150
