Stanmar, Inc. Front Desk Clerk in Wayland, Massachusetts

DATES OF NEED: 4/1/2024 - 1/1/2025 JOB TITLE: Front Desk Clerk DUTIES: Will be responsible for operating telephones in a polite and friendly manner following proper telephone etiquette, greeting members and guests, assisting with reservations via telephone, assisting guests with luggage to their guest room, distributing resort information and schedules, and collecting and sorting the mail on a daily basis. Will report directly to the Front Desk Manager at Stanmar, Inc. On-the-job training is provided. REQUIREMENTS: (1.) Three (3) months of experience at a hotel, resort, or private club required. (2.) No pre-employment drug screening/background check is required, but employer reserves the right to perform drug screening/background checks during the employment period, if warranted, per the employee handbook. SCHEDULE: 40hrs p/wk. The work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday - Sunday. HOURS: sample shifts include 6:00am-2:00pm, 11:00am-7:00pm, and/or 3:00pm-11:00pm. Shift hours may vary. WAGE: \$18.94 - \$21.94 p/hr, paid bi-weekly. When available, overtime is paid at \$28.41 - \$32.91 p/hr. LOCATION(S): Local Office is located at 321 Commonwealth Road, Suite 201, Wayland, MA 01778. *All worksites are located in Nantucket County or Dukes County, MA. Workers are assigned to one worksite and rarely travel between worksites (less than 5% of the time). *Transportation between worksites is provided. *Employer does not provide daily transportation to and from worksite/residence. LODGING: Employer-provided housing is offered and optional. If accepted, costs for housing and utilities will be paid directly to the employer via electronic deposit. Cost is up to \$175 p/wk for housing and utilities combined, depending on the type of housing accepted and the weeks employed. *If an employee accepts housing, a one-time fee of up to \$150 will be required to cover cleaning costs, which the employee will pay directly to the employer. *If voluntarily elected by the employee, the employer may provide a cash advance to cover employees initial expenses, which would then be recouped through payroll deductions in installments over the employment period as agreed to by the employee. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Optional benefits may be offered to workers, for workers sole benefit, including but not limited to health insurance, dental insurance, and 401K.
