Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Responsible for general machine and company maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general machine and equipment maintenance and repairs

• Conduct product changeovers as needed

• Carry out general building maintenance

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks

• Work on continuous improvement projects as required

• Notify lead of needed extended repairs and or spare parts

• Complete all pertinent maintenance paperwork

• Participate in Corrective Action teams

• Assist the production team as needed

• Conduct quality auditing and understand quality testing procedures

• Report any potential food safety, legality, quality or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel

• Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices

• Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

• Perform other duties as required

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• General maintenance skills

• Knowledge of PLCs

• Experience with setting up cameras

• Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems

• Electrical experience

• Familiarity with heat sealing processes

• Proactive with a good attitude

• Ability to work well with others and be a team player

• Good communication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient at time management

• Ability to work with little supervision

• Willingness to acquire new skills

Work Environment

The job requires physical demands such as walking, using hands to handle or feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, balancing, stooping, talking, or hearing. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection and may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.

This is a Permanent position based out of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $53000.00/yr.
