About the Job:
As a Surgery Tech, you'll embark on a fulfilling journey where your skills make a real difference. Here's what you can look forward to:
Assist in managing cases, collaborating closely with our 3 board certified surgeons and highly skilled technicians.
Participate in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures alongside each surgeon.
Obtain and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events.
Assist in all operating room duties as a circulating nurse and scrub-in technician during orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries.
Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients, being a strong patient advocate during their hospitalization.
Compensation:
$25 - $35 pending experience & skillset
Schedule:
Four 9-hour shifts including Fridays.
Rotating Saturdays

You are a confident, skilled, Credentialed Veterinary Technician
You are proficient in anesthetic monitoring, understanding of drug dosages and calculations, and knowledge of radiographic techniques is preferred.
You possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills aimed at establishing long lasting, positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
You are able to work well independently and in a team environment, leading by example and holding oneself accountable for quality medicine and customer service.
You exhibit flexibility, dependability, responsibility, and possesses excellent attention to detail and time management skills
You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people who share that same value

Understanding of Veterinary Procedures and Terminology: You have firsthand experience in the daily operations of a clinic. You're familiar with terminology, treatment procedures, and the intricacies of animal care. This enables you to effectively communicate with clients about their pets' health concerns, treatment plans, and discharge instructions in a clear and knowledgeable manner.
Problem-Solving Skills: With your experience as a veterinary technician/assistant, you are adept at problem-solving in fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure situations. Whether it's addressing a client's urgent concerns or coordinating with the ER team to ensure smooth patient care, your ability to think quickly and adapt to changing circumstances is invaluable in the client liaison role.
Educational Resource: Clients often have questions about their pets' health, behavior, and preventative care. Your background equips you with the knowledge and resources to address these inquiries accurately and comprehensively. Serving as an educational resource for clients not only enhances their understanding of their pets' needs, but also strengthens their trust in our hospital as a reliable source of information and support.
