Clinical Director | AFS Youth/Young Adult Residential West Springfield, MA ID: 665-379 Full-Time/Regular The G?ndara Center provides residential, mental health, substance abuse, and preventive services for children, adults, and families across the Pioneer Valley and eastern parts of Massachusetts. The Clinical Director is responsible for the management of clinical treatment from intake to discharge for youth-serving residential treatment programs within the Adolescent and Family Services (AFS) Division. This position may also include providing clinical supervision/support to additional programs/clinician staff within AFS such as nurses and/or occupational therapists. The Clinical Director will provide clinical supervision to Clinicians & Case Managers in the care of clients, interactions with families and collaterals, and the development of a healthy therapeutic milieu; ongoing review of clinical and therapeutic documentation and practice; provide training to staff on an ongoing basis and supervise subsequent training, develop treatment protocol and policy in conjunction with AFS Management team; oversee the hiring of clinical staff, and assist AFS Management team in development and oversight of clinical processes throughout AFS. Required Experience Minimum Qualifications PHD., MSW, MA, M.Ed, or MS in psychology, human services, or social work, independently licensed required At least 2 years demonstrated skills in supervision and leading a diverse staff Must have a minimum of 5 years experience, 2 of which should be administrative Demonstrated ability to be innovative, creative, analytical, and decisive in problem-solving Demonstrated administrative and organizational capabilities. Ability to work effectively with other community agencies (i.e. school dept., DYS, DCF, DMH, Juvenile Court, etc) Exceptional demonstrated writing and organizational skills Exceptional interpersonal skills Must have a valid driver's license Must meet Agency requirements for driving history records
