Position Overview
Collections Specialists are responsible for resolving overdue bills and collecting payments from the businesses responsible for the debt.
Responsibilities
Managing the collection efforts/calls for accounts receivable portfolio
Documenting daily collections activity
Researching account disputes and billing discrepancies
Performing account/payment reconciliations
Responding to credit inquiries from external clients
Identify delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts
Identify bad debt or financial exposure
Requirements
3-5 years previous Accounts Receivable/Collections required
Project/Contract knowledge preferred
Experience with an automated Accounts Receivable and Collections Software system, preferably AnyTime Collect and
Sage Mas 500 experience.
MS Excel & Word
Problem resolving, computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good Telephone etiquette
Ability to diffuse customers and create effective working relationships
Strong data entry skills
Well organized and detail oriented, while applying sound judgment and decision-making skills to both routine and non-routine issues.
Candidates must be able to work well in a fast paced/high volume environment and work well under pressure
Flexible and adapt to change easily
Team player attitude and willingness to make active contributions to the team
Knowledge of medical terminology or experience working in a medical setting a plus
