Primary Purpose

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for conducting job pricing analyses utilizing market data and internal structures ensure alignment within the organization and to help attract and retain talent. Prepare analyses related to incentive plan design and support annual processes such as merit increases and bonuses. Manage small projects and other short-term initiatives, while contributing to larger scale projects in collaboration with various business partners and the Total Rewards team.

Essential Functions

Job Evaluation :

  • Review, evaluate, and classify job descriptions to ensure proper alignment with compensation structures and market standards.

Market Analysis & Benchmarking :

  • Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and fair pay practices within the organization.

  • Collaborate with HRBPs and business leaders to create and maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions within the organization, ensuring each description reflects the actual tasks and responsibilities of the role.

Compensation Planning :

  • Support the development and implementation of salary structures, incentive plans, and other compensation programs that align with company goals.

Salary Administration :

  • Monitor, evaluate, and administer employee salaries, merit increases, and salary adjustments according to company policies and market conditions.

Compliance & Documentation :

  • Ensure all compensation practices comply with local, state, and federal laws, as well as industry standards. Maintain documentation and records related to compensation.

  • Analyze compensation plans and provide recommendations.

  • Assist in preparation of the annual merit increase and incentive programs.

Collaboration :

  • Work closely with HR, finance, and department managers to provide compensation guidance, resolve queries, and support talent acquisition efforts.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Compensation Analyst or 4-5 years of experience as a financial, operations or transactions analyst.

  • Compensation Certification Professional (CCP) preferred.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with compensation survey tools (e.g., PayScale) and proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably UKG.

  • Knowledge of relevant labor laws, wage and hour laws, and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience with annual bonus plans including sales incentive plans.

  • Advanced Excel skills are required.

  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must have proven ability to manage multiple projects in a team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.

Salary Range

$77,400.00 – $112,200.00 / year
