Job Description

Program to start in June 2025

The goal of the Olympus Corporation of the Americas Rotational Development Program (OCA RDP) is to develop and train early talent through targeted rotational assignments and learning opportunities in one of our many business units and functions.

Participants in the RDP will be immersed in hands-on training with functional subject matter experts and business leaders who will provide both mentoring and guidance throughout the program. This program is designed as a two-year rotation (three eight-month assignments) in a specific business area or corporate function. At the conclusion of the two-year program, the RDP participant will be placed full-time in one of the relevant rotational function areas, as determined by business need and as directed by executive management.

This role is based out of our Westborough, MA office and has a starting annual salary of $61,975.

Job Duties

The Rotational Development Program allows for a wide view of OCA business groups and shows the program participant how each area of the business function supports the overall company goals and strategies. Perform all other related duties as assigned. RDP participants will also participate in a series of learning activities centered around professional development and business acumen. Olympus’ Medical Solutions Group marketing leads the development and deployment of commercial strategies and tactics that drive growth within our innovative and market-leading product platforms. Launching new products, maximizing the impact of existing products, and managing the commercial success of our portfolio are all key aspects of our team. We partner cross functionally within several teams including sales, communications, professional education, and others in the Americas and globally to create and innovate.

The Rotational Development Program – Medical Marketing focus – will consist of rotations in Product Marketing – Surgical Endoscopy, Product Marketing – Surgical Devices, and Enterprise Solutions.

In Product Marketing Rotation you will assist with:

  • Develop customer and rep facing tools to highlight the value of Olympus portfolio in surgical solutions.

  • Develop go to market plans, marketing materials, training plans, and marketing campaigns for new product launches.

  • Support sales team members in the operating room with imaging and energy device promotion and gather relevant feedback to improve messaging, adoption, and customer experience.

  • Support gathering and development of clinical evidence to drive adoption of energy and imaging devices in the operating room.

  • Develop data driven analysis and dashboards to provide consistent visibility into the health of the business.

  • Support commercial strategy development, assess new opportunities, and develop segmentation and targeting resources to support commercial execution.

  • Develop an understanding of operational and financial aspects of a medical device business.

Enterprise Solutions

  • Update Olympus Medical Systems Group Corporate Presentation to include any new information pertaining to Corporate Strategy, Market Conditions, Product or Program Launches and Olympus efforts around Sustainability, Supplier Diversity and Business Continuity Planning.

  • Update and maintain Enterprise Solutions External & Internal Websites and GPO Business Templates.

  • Develop content for 2-3 Enterprise Solutions Newsletters and disseminate to the entire MSG Organization.

  • Develop Supplier Scorecard messaging intended to address Olympus’ Regulatory, Invoicing and Shipping performance against Key Customer KPIs.

  • Collaborate with Contract Operations to update and optimize the Request For Proposal Executive Summary for use in responding to GPO, IDN and RPC RFPs.

  • Collaborate with Leveraged Programs team to assist with program automation, focused on activities such as definition of business/program requirements, documentation creation and program training.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree is required, with the degree being obtained no more than 24 months prior to the PDP cohort start date. Program is limited to undergraduate or graduate degrees only. Open to any degree discipline, although some rotational areas may require certain majors

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without immigration-related work sponsorship now or in the future

  • Proven academic excellence and a passion for continued learning is a must

  • Must possess demonstrated leadership skills

  • Strong, professional communication skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks

  • Skilled in presentation development and public speaking
