The Amazon Robotics (AR) Operations organization is Amazon’s manufacturing arm for industrial robotics. We manufacture high-quality robotics for fulfillment and transportation centers across Amazon. It’s an operation that works cross-functionally with Engineering and Supply Chain teams. We are seeking a talented Site Manufacturing Manager with thorough knowledge of good manufacturing practices and continuous improvement to support manufacturing in our facility in Westborough, MA.

In this role, you will establish site manufacturing goals, performance plans and deliver quality products for our customer. Managing performance, budgets, team development and operations objectives for functional areas will be critical. Responsibilities include managing and leading a team of manufacturing managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, fostering positive employee relations and building a strong culture of Safety and Continuous Improvement. Amazon Robotics specializes in complex products that require a detail oriented, organized, and high-energy individual to coordinate daily production requirements and lead impactful initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop site manufacturing goals and lead execution of operations initiate in support of site goals.

• Manage performance to plan for critical manufacturing metrics / KPI including but not limited to Safety-Quality-Delivery-Cost.

• Build and manage workforce staffing plans based on customer requirements.

• Own vision and communication for team

• Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process improvement initiatives, and other critical projects in driving operational excellence.

• Coach, mentor, measures performance, provides feedback, and drive accountability for teams / managers across all departments.

• Establish best practices and standard work across sites.

• Drive efficiency and quality through leadership of process-focused approaches, process improvement initiatives and root cause / corrective action exercises.

• Lead and implement critical business initiatives across the team (project management).

• Work effectively across functions (Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.).

• Conduct employee reviews, interviews, and all disciplinary functions for the reporting team.

• Collaborate/partner with project teams leading new product introduction and other manufacturing initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field.

· Strong leadership, interpersonal and team-building skills.

· 5+ years experience in manufacturing / operations.

· Proactive problem-solving ability and excellent attention to detail.

· Direct management experience for employees and their performance

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Effective coaching and mentoring skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.

· Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment.

· Experience supporting new products and product development programs.

· Experience working with Oracle ERP and Agile PLM. · Experience in advanced manufacturing, distribution and logistics.

· Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and application of Continuous Improvement (CI) tools.

· Proficient with data collection, data analysis and use of metrics.
