Pall Corporation is hiring a motivated and collaborative User Experience Designer to support new product development products in the Life Sciences industry. This position focuses on the user interaction and interface for touchscreens and desktop applications of Pall’s products. The position works collaboratively with others, has an excellent work ethic, and a desire to produce new technologies that will improve health outcomes.

The role will be based at our Life Sciences Center of Excellence in Westborough, MA or Portsmouth, UK.

Duties and Responsibilities• Participate in the end-to-end design process as part of key new product development projects• Research user centered solutions and translate them into user interfaces for touchscreens and desktop applications utilizing UX best practices• Help institute user centricity and holistic experience design through deployment of design tools and processes• Collaborate with project teams while coaching and facilitating the use of UX related tools, processes and frameworks• Brainstorm, iterate, and design innovative solutions that communicate quality and ease of use for the target users• Collaborate with the Pall project team and lead design reviews and workshops• Develop high-level and detailed wireframes, storyboards, and mockups to build and explain concepts and ideas• Present concepts and ideas to key stakeholders, and project and development teams to establish common understanding of the product• Create high-fidelity prototypes to be used in the usability testing process and for development purposes• Participate in usability studies and identify and address usability issues• Work with development team to ensure the designs are accurately implemented• Domestic and international travel required. 20% or less.

Qualifications• Bachelors/Masters Human factors/computer interaction and design degree • A minimum of 5 years proven experience of designing complex software applications• Proficiency with Axure prototyping or other web design tools• Experience and expertise in the software development process, interaction design, user experience, and usability
