Microchip Technology Sr. Manager-Business Development in Westborough, Massachusetts

Microchip’s Aerospace and Defense Group provides one of the industry's most comprehensive high reliability product portfolios in the market today. These products are used in a wide array of space, commercial aviation, and defense systems.

We are searching for a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) with experience in the Aerospace and Defense market with a strong technical background in digital, power, and analog electronics. As an Aerospace and Defense Business Development Manager, you'll be one of the key team members on our team providing direct technical and business support to our A&D clients in your region of responsibility. This position will be located in North Eastern US area.

Core Business Development Manager (BDM) Responsibilities:

  • Support sales, channels, and /or direct customers in regional territories for all Microchip Aerospace and Defense products

  • Develop, monitor, and adjust growth strategy in regional market with focus on top potential growth accounts for the Aerospace and Defense market

  • Drive closure of all strategic opportunities in the regional territory of responsibility

  • Identify system solutions to solve key client needs across all Microchip business units

  • Support and drive platform tracking activities in regional market

  • Support roadmap development for the A&D Market

  • Support trainings, trade shows, and key client engagements

  • Create technical marketing collateral and block diagrams for Aerospace and Defense applications

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or marketing

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience related to semiconductor technologies for the Aerospace and Defense market

  • Knowledge of modern electronics markets and applications for Aerospace and Defense

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within region

  • Systematic approach to problem solving and working through organizational issues

  • This job requires access to technology, material, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1234b (a) (3).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in electrical or electronics engineering or marketing

  • Demonstrated success in driving increased sales in the Aerospace and Defense Market

  • Demonstrated success in creating effective relationships both internal and external

  • Demonstrated success in working in both leadership and team oriented roles

  • Detail oriented and highly organized
