Position Summary:
As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor you are responsible for daily oversight, supervision and planning of programs, activities.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Maintain records and database on company properties/facilities
Maintain safe, secure, compliant, efficient facilities; prioritize tasks, identify & discuss cost savings solutions
Maintain fleet/operating equipment, forklifts, batteries, lifts, jacks, etc. – as per Maintenance protocol
Maintain, review and implement cost reduction strategies in the region, as they relate to efficiency operations of energy consumption and utilities in general
Maintain necessary staffing in company facilities, to include participation in Job Description and duty assignments, interviewing, hiring, day-to-day interactions, coaching as necessary to include disciplinary activities up to and including termination if warranted
Maintain oversight of daily workload for company Facilities Maintenance Technicians
Maintain staff requirements, certifications & training; mentor and coach as required
Assign tasks, based on priorities of safety, operating and cost efficiencies
To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Verifiable leadership skills in Facilities Maintenance field
Mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and welding skills required
Experience with gas/oil burners as well as hydraulics is beneficial
Advanced degrees in Management or Facilities a plus
Advanced licensing in electrical / HVAC or lift truck trades a plus
Good communication skills, both oral and written, in order to converse with customers and coworkers; good phone and computer skills (MS Office)
Ability to satisfy customer requests in a timely manner
Must be able to read, interpret and understand blue prints
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and be able to walk long distances over diverse terrain for long periods
Must be able to climb ladders, work at height or roofs as required
Must be able to work in a diverse work environment, which could be internal or external, and during periods of inclement weather
Ability to travel to other Pyle facilities in assigned area to perform the above duties as needed
