Baystate Health RN COVID Therapeutic Clinic in Westfield, Massachusetts
RN COVID-19 Therapeutics works collaboratively with an Advanced Practice Provider and other health team members to lead the development and delivery of high quality, efficient patient care and customer friendly service at the COVID-19 Therapeutic Treatment Center located at Baystate Noble in Westfield, MA. Responsible for the management of care for patients, twelve years of age and older, with a known positive COVID-19 diagnosis in the outpatient ambulatory clinic along the health care continuum. Responsible for ensuring that all educational needs, including age-specific, and cultural needs, are addressed for patients/families/significant others, and is available to them for consultation. The nurse for COVID-19 Therapeutics oversees and directs the care provided by assistive personel. Assumes a role in collaborating to establish and implement policies/procedures and standards of care for the program.
The Nurse for COVID19 Therapeutics will be able to assimilate to both functions within the COVID-19 Therapeutic Clinic:
COVID-19 Therapeutics Clinic--Infusion Suite :
The infusion nurse provides direct care and possesses the knowledge and ability to safely administer Monoclonal Antibodies and Remdesivir and supportive care measures; and is able to manage the patient's care in relation to these treatments.
COVID-19 Therapeutics Clinic -- Phone Triage:
The practice nurse in the clinic acts as a link between patients and care providers to assist patients/families/caregivers and facilitate patient care. Possesses knowledge of Monoclonal Antibodies, Remdesivir, Evusheld, Paxlovid and supportive care measures. Responsible for phone triage, symptom management, and overall coordination of care.
Massachusetts license as an RN and BLS CPR required
Minimum of 2- 3 years of nursing experience
Experience with Intervenous therapy and outpatient exp. strongly preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & handle multiple tasks/priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have competency in delivering exceptional nursing care and have proven success in partnering with both physicians and staff
Must be willing to work with COVID positive patients
Monday - Friday 8-4:30
