Our work depends on a Systems Analyst joining our team to support CMS activities in a MD location.

At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Systems Analyst supporting CMS, you will be trusted to analyze systems, data, software and make recommendations for enhancements, process improvements and efficiencies

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in development, testing and operational activities of the team prior to deployment of software to the production environment.

• Participates in planning meetings, supplies technical expertise, planning, development of test plans and procedures to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed solutions.

• Creates and maintains program documentation and assists with updating User Manuals.

• Provides user interface design and program layout directions for screen development and improvements.

• Documents testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.

• Reviews end user submitted JIRA Tickets to validate issues reported.

• Interacts with software developers and managers to provide user perspective on software problems and testing.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, information systems or a related field

• 3-5 years of work experience

• MS Office skills: proven proficiency in Word, Excel, Visio

• Proven experience in data analysis using MS Office tools

• Experience in reviewing application configurations and software changes to detect problems

Desired Education and Experience

• Self-motivated, detail oriented, with strong follow-up skills to ensure completion of tasks

• Ability to develop and maintain system documentation including presentation and training materials for system administrators

• Independent, self-starter who can take minimal direction and complete tasks

• Works well independently and with a team to identify flaws in system configuration, identify software inconsistencies, and implement corrections

• Assists in integrated operational testing by analyzing information throughput, data flows, documenting system settings, and troubleshooting system faults

• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
