About the Role:

As a Shelter Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Shelter in Westminister. Your major end result will be to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients, while also managing the staff and resources of the shelter. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of your work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in a management role

  • Experience working with vulnerable populations

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field

  • Experience working in a shelter or similar environment

  • Experience with trauma-informed care

  • Bilingual

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the shelter, including overseeing staff and resources

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients, including providing support and resources as needed

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of shelter activities

  • Collaborate with community partners to provide additional support and resources to clients

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies

Skills:

In this role, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and staff, as well as collaborate with community partners. Your ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism will be essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients. Additionally, your experience working with vulnerable populations and knowledge of trauma-informed care will be valuable in providing support and resources to our clients. Finally, your ability to manage staff and resources effectively will be critical in maintaining the daily operations of the shelter.
