Citizens Digital Experience Platform Product Owner in Westwood, Massachusetts

Description

We are seeking a product owner to lead technical and engineering roadmaps for products managed under the digital experience platform group. Products supported include content management systems (CMS), digital asset management systems (DAM), and Adobe experience products. The role will lead an engineering pod that leads full-stack development for front-end experiences, publisher and user capabilities, and back-end systems support. The team supports marketing partners and users that leverage CMS, DAM, and Adobe products to deliver web-based digital experiences and dynamic content marketing across multiple digital channels.

Digital experience platform product owners work directly with business and marketing partners to define solutions and roadmaps. The product owner will help synthesize business and user needs into a technical delivery roadmap. They will then lead the daily team activities to support delivery and manage the sprints, reviews, and update stakeholders. The teams that product owners manage are typically made up of scrum masters, engineers, designers, and product specialists. Ultimately, the product owner is the voice of the customer, both internal and external, ensuring that the roadmaps increase internal capabilities so that the business can deliver the best customer experiences.

The Product Owner will collaborate with business, technology, and analytics partners to prioritize, enhance, and deliver new features from ideation through production in an Agile environment, ensuring key outcomes and goals are met. This individual will be responsible for defining, developing, and leading the implementation of product roadmaps and capabilities to support business and customer needs.

Job Responsibilities

Product engineering strategy: lead the development of technical roadmaps to ensure cross-functional execution of user focused systems and solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: lead the coordination of various dependent teams – marketing ops, technology, data, platform – to deliver best-in-class customer digital experiences.

Continuous Improvement: continuously present opportunities to assess and improve the front-end digital experiences and user workflows to maximize engagement and efficiency.

Insights, Trends, and Research: conduct research and analysis on evolving marketing technology standards related to the Martech products and present emerging/best-practices to influence roadmaps.

User Experience: champion the user experience, ensuring controls and data architecture are intuitive, user-friendly, and deliver expected outcomes to customers.

Metrics and Analysis: define key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze product metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement (e.g., efficiency, engagement, quality scores, release quality). Take actions to address any issues or opportunities for improvement, refining roadmaps as the data dictates. Transform customer insights into actionable strategies.

Regulatory Compliance: support cross-functional teams to ensure the digital comply with relevant accessibility and privacy standards.

Stakeholder Communication: communicate product plans, progress, and results to executive leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

Workflow and Project Leadership: ensure pod mobilization plans, refinement of stories and dependencies, and alignment between various pod roadmaps. Provide oversight to ensure alignment with Agile/Scrum practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as business, marketing, design, data science, computer science, engineering, product management, or other related field.

  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing technology, digital product management, digital ad operations, digital channels management, or customer experience delivery/design for marketing or products.

  • Preferred experience with OpenText, Adobe, Aprimo, or other CMS, DAM, MarTech systems.

  • Proven track record of delivering collaborative projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization. Ability to circumvent roadblocks.

  • Understanding of product management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Lean.

  • Experience with product management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

  • Experience with human-centered design ideation and methodologies.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to make informed decisions and drive product improvements.

  • Passion for technology, innovation, and beautiful digital customer experiences that are intuitive, seamless, and delightful. Customer-centric approach to product development and problem-solving.

  • Experience managing development teams with a mix of engineering skillsets and understanding of technical and business level requirements.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and hungry to learn and tackle new challenges.
