Our work depends on a Information Systems Manager joining our team to support the Global Chief Information Officer (GCIO).

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Information Systems Manager supporting GCIO, you will be trusted to work on on-prem and cloud-based email systems. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Directing and managing engineering and operational services across the Enterprise Email and cloud messaging services team.

  • Developing integrated system requirement, strategies, devices, and systems.

  • Recommending and supporting process improvement initiatives.

  • Providing analysis and management related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution.

  • Analyzing the computer and information needs of the organization from an operational and strategic perspective and determines immediate and long-range personnel and equipment requirements, ensuring the availability, continuity, and security of data and information technology.

  • Writing internal and user documentation as needed, interface with customers

  • Other Windows related Engineering activities as requested


  • BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related IT discipline or equivalent experience

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience

  • Minimum one year of people management experience leading an IT team and interfacing with project teams in an enterprise setting.

  • Experience with Cloud Messaging Services for design and support— base integration with Exchange, Teams, including security settings, updates, and level three problem management support

  • Experience providing direct support to end-users ranging from Tier 1-3 type tickets, with command of general workstation support functions (hardware and software)

  • Experience with Messaging Service Server Integration — base operating systems, software installation, configuration and security settings, updates, and level three problem management support. Includes patching, upgrading and migration to updated versions

  • Experience in requirements definition, system design development, and documentation.

  • Experience performing logical and physical system design

  • Experience conducting technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with system, preparing reports, studies and documentation.

  • Experience addressing special problem areas and administering solutions to complex areas of the IT systems, including strategy and requirements gathering.


  • Experience in Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High or DoD
