FusionStorm, Inc. Software License Specialist in Westwood, Massachusetts

As the Software License Specialist, you will collaborate with the Sales teams to provide cost analysis on software for both new and current contracts. You will research complex issues to provide simple explanations for our Customers and internal teams. You will also work closely with the Finance to team to ensure consistent and accurate billing to our customers.

  • Collaborate with technical team to analyze options, create bill of materials (BOMs) and registrations around the Customers’ needs.

  • Create and deliver a cost analysis model around different purchasing vendors and options.

  • Develop and provide Customer Business Plans to the Customer and internal team.

  • Stay abreast of vendor programs and discount structures.

  • Review supplier and/or license agreement terms and conditions to determine risk and ensure appropriate terms and conditions are extended to customer on all associated quotes.

  • Responsible for creating detailed quotes for software, subscription and enterprise agreements with appropriate legal and quoting language.

  • Summarize pertinent information and document to internal and external customers.

  • Become the SME with software, subscription and enterprise agreement modeling questions.

  • Monitor software usage and overages to work with the technical team to help alleviate consistent overages.

  • Review supplier invoices for accuracy, where applicable,,and ensure timely and accurate invoicing to the Customer with Finance team.

  • Proactively identify and pursue software subscriptions, renewals, adoption and enablement opportunities.

  • Provide ongoing customer service to ensure efficient use of systems and contracts.

  • Assist in driving marketing collateral around adoption, subscriptions and EAs.

  • Cross-train, as needed, on roles within the Lifecycle Services group.

  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

In addition to executing on the above list of duties and responsibilities, this position requires you to provide guidance, direction, mentorship and coaching on the same to your team, as well as, to lead, inspire and support your team in support of growing their businesses.

Education & Experience Required

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Sales support experience in IT a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Highly detail oriented.

  • Ability to acquire deep understanding of end-to-end sales process.

  • Conceptual understanding of hardware and software lifecycles.

  • Experience with quoting tools with vendors such as Cisco, VMware, Palo Alto, Juniper a plus.

  • Self-starter with ability to explore additional areas of the business as requested.

  • Ability to research and address issues with a well thought out solution.

  • Basic technical knowledge around verticals and partners recommended.

  • Resourceful and ability to exercise independent judgment.

  • Able to work and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while demonstrating teamwork and great communication.

  • Professional interaction with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, or other ERP/CRM systems.

  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
